Yeah, I sometimes make my breakfast in the microwave.

So what?

I enjoy taking shortcuts on days where I don’t feel like cooking up a meal in the kitchen. Especially when that means less cleanup.

So why not?!

As quick and simple as this oatmeal is, it can be packed with all kinds of goodies!

Just load up on fruits, nuts/seeds, and your favourite nut butter!

Banana Apple Oatmeal

  • 1/2 banana, mashed

  • 1/8 cup apple sauce

  • 2/3 cup plant milk

  • 1/4 tsp vanilla extract, optional

  • 1/2 cup quick oats

  • Toppings
  • Peanut butter

  • Banana

  • Blackberries

  • Pumpkin seeds

  • Raisins

  • Shredded coconut


  • Mash the banana in a microwave-
    safe dish. Add the rest of the
    ingredients, except oats. Whisk it up.
  • Add in the oats. Fold everything
    to combine. Then microwave for
    2 minutes. Stopping at the first
    minute to check.
  • Remove, and add your favourite
    toppings. Starting with nut butter
    to melt first.
